January 8, 2017: Rock Club Homecoming

Tess smiled as she saw Paradise MC coming into view again. It had been a good holiday back home with her brother, but she was looking forward to getting back to the MC and her new family. She missed Nitro desperately and couldn’t wait to be back in his arms.

When she rolled up to the front gate, however, Butch stopped her. “Hey there, Tess. Welcome home.”

“Thanks!” She said and got off her bike, going over to give him a hug. “It’s good to see you again, Butch. How were your holidays?”

“Really good! You missed some fun here over the holidays. New Years was a blast… hope yours was good too though?” He asked as he stepped back from the hug.

“Yeah, they were great. It was good to go home with Andrew, and I had a surprisingly good talk with my father… so that’s always good, right? What is everyone up to tonight?”

“They’re actually not on the compound tonight… they’re over at this rock club that just opened up. Harlem Homecoming… They told me to let you know when you got back so you could go join ‘em.”

“Awesome! I’m just gonna drop my stuff in my room then and I’ll head out there. Got an address for me?”

“Sure do,” he said and took out his phone to text her the address of the new club.

Tess thanked him and hugged him once more before heading to her room, dropping her bags on her bed. She would unpack them later and checked herself in the mirror. Black leather pants, a t-shirt, hoodie, and her vest. It would do. She had also dyed her hair red over the holidays. She couldn’t wait to see Nitro’s reaction to that one. It was messy from the wind of the bike and being smushed under the helmet for the last few hours, but she was able to brush it out and let it hang down, nodding at herself in the mirror. Once satisfied with her appearance again, she went out to her bike and rode out to the club.

Harlem Homecoming was in the middle of the city, right in the busiest district. There was a mall of shops outside the club where there were stores for bikes, vests, patches, and other accessories. She rode up to a parking lot and turned off her bike, recognizing the bikes of her family there. She grinned and got off the bike and then headed inside.

A big crowd had arrived to the club. The DJ was playing everything from Queen to Def Leopard to Guns N Roses and even ZZ Top. Everyone was having a great time laughing and dancing and kicking off the week right. Tess grinned when she saw Rachel up on stage, hosting and greeting people into the club with her microphone.

“Everyone welcome in my sister, Tess! Back from Philly! Welcome home, sis!” She called out, and there were cheers from the room. Everyone welcomed her back as she made her way through the crowd, giving hugs and greeting everyone that she knew.

Within minutes, strong arms gathered around her and picked her up. She started to scream, but then giggled as she realized it was Nitro. He spun her around and she held on tight, moving into an easy rhythm with him on the dance floor.

“I missed you so damn much, babygirl. No more long trips, got it?” He ordered, brushing his hand through her hair. “You do know how red hair makes me go crazy, right?”

“Mmm, it does, does it? That’s awfully convenient then…” She leaned in tightly to his chest and rested her head there, so relieved to be back in his arms. “I missed you so much, Nitro…”
“I missed you too… a lot. Phone calls and face time doesn’t do being in person justice. Come here,” he said softly and leaned down to kiss her lips intently, his hand exploring under her hoodie.

“Mmmmm, people will start asking questions…” she whispered against his lips, not holding back from the kiss she’d been wanting for the past two weeks.

“They already have… and I’ve told them you’re my girl. And if they have a problem with it, well then they can take it up with me. What about you…?” He asked, looking in Tess’ eyes. “Are you okay with that?”

“I am more than okay with that,” she said with a grin, beyond thrilled. She could never have predicted to find someone as great as him. She hadn’t even been looking for romance… but it came when one least expected it, right? She leaned against his shoulder, just soaking in the moment and dancing with him amidst family and new friends.
