February 12, 2018 - High Rollers MC

A couple of weeks had passed and life at the MC had gotten into a routine. They did rides most every night as members continued to add numbers to their badges and they challenged each other on the time track that Road Runner had put out. Tess was grateful for the practice she’d had with Nitro as she went out all the time and practiced to get a better time. She was able to hold herself in the top five riders, but her goal was to someday make it to number one, but she wasn’t quite there yet.

Every Sunday night they held Church, their weekly meeting where they discussed club business and voted on things that needed to be decided. Tess really felt part of the team as she was always respected at the meetings and people listened to her opinions and ideas. She had been nominated to be the events coordinator, so she was working with Neo who ran the club and they planned dance nights and contests for most weeknights. It kept her busy and she and Neo worked really well together. She even got to host once in a while as different DJ’s took the stage and spun tunes. Many MC’s from around New York joined them for the dances and the donation jar at the back of the club was full almost every night as people contributed to keeping the MC running financially.

Tonight, the group was hanging out in the new game room that had set up on the compound. There were still a couple of games at the club itself, but they’d wanted a separate games room to put in more tables for Poker as well as a pool table and air hockey.

“I swear, I don’t know why I even play this damn game anymore,” Abe Stenton muttered as he discarded a card in front of himself. They were playing Skippo and the president was severely behind in how many cards he’d discarded from the stock pile. “You’re all ganging up on me.”

“We would never, boss! Why would we want to pick on our fearless leader?” Nitro teased, starting a long run of cards as he held Tess’s hand while he played. “Besides.. you’re just mad we didn’t play strip Poker like you wanted.”

“Yeah, which we’re still NOT doing,” Madison, his wife, pointed out.

“Strip pool?” Abe tried, looking at her hopefully.

“No,” she said firmly.
“I’m surprised Nitro didn’t jump in and help with the votes for those games,” Tess said with a chuckle.

“Only one woman I wanna see naked,” Nitro said and winked at her, finally finishing his turn.

“Aww, see… now he’s tryin’ to dig himself out of some hole. “ Tess laughed.

“What hole? I’ve been good!” Nitro nudged her gently. “Maybe I’m just being proactive… for the future and all.”

“Uh huh, sure.” Tess shook her head with amusement.

“Believe that’s the game,” Becky said with a grin as she played her last card from the stock pile.

“Good job, Becky!” Tess grinned.

“Okay, that’s it. I vote we move to this thing to the campfire and put this ol’ man out of his misery, hmm?” Stenton pleaded, standing from the table.

“Alright, alright, we can do that,” Nitro smirked and stood, pulling Tess up with him.

The group headed over to the campfire as the sun was setting in the distance. Road Runner set a fire and they reached for the marshmallows and sticks. They had a great night relaxing and laughing by the fire, and Tess relaxed in Nitro’s arms, happy to have found somewhere to call home.
