January 21, 2018: Sons of Anarchy Southeast MC

Music blared loudly as the MC danced in the yard on the eastern side of the compound. The weather was getting warmer again, because apparently it couldn’t make up its mind on what season it was. It let them have a dance outside though, which meant campfire and dancing under the stars. Tess danced with Nitro as Becky spun the tunes at the front of the area. She was playing everything from the 80s to current and it was a fun mix of music.

“So now that you’re a member, what are you gonna do?” Nitro asked Tess as he held her in his arms.

“I’m not sure… I really love riding and meeting other MC’s. We already have two road captains though. Think there’s an assistant position so I could work with Rachel?”

“Yeah, I was thinking that too. That or something like entertainment coordinator at the club. Could be in charge of the dances and Bike Nights and all of that side of thing, and the road captains can do the rides and rallies.”

“That could be fun,” Tess nodded and smiled. “Could easily combine the two a lot of times. I’ll have to talk to Stenton about it.”

“For now though… we need to get you on that track. Top three riders get cash prizes. Let’s see if we can get you close, hmm?”

Nitro led her over to the track where others were lined up, riding around and trying to beat their own time. Madison was standing there with a timer and writing down times as people went around the circular track that had been set up. Tess spent the next couple of hours riding around the track, trying to get under the top scores that were being revealed on a big electronic scoreboard. Nitro watched her go around the track and gave pointers on how to best improve her time, especially with how to take the wider corners in order to speed up.

No matter how hard she tried, Tess struggled to get in the top ten on the board. Nitro attributed it to the type of bike she was riding, and insisted that they would be going shopping the next week to buy her something that would go faster.

They rejoined the group at the dance area and laughed as they listened to the music. Becky was playing all sorts of music from the 90’s and it was giving them all flashbacks to their high school proms, dances, and date nights. Throughout the evening they drew names for prizes like gift cards, new bikes, and accessories to wear while biking like headbands or jackets with the club’s colours on them. Tess won a new jacket and put it on right away, blushing as Nitro spun her around the dance floor. It was a fun night and they had many guests from other MC’s in the area as well. As they danced, Tess continued to think up other event ideas that she could bring to Stenton. She was looking forward to this new chapter in her life, and couldn’t wait to get started and share her ideas with her new family.
